    Character Education Certification: This is part of a two-day certification series. Day one focuses on building the strong foundation for your school's culture-transforming journey. Character Education is not just another thing educators are expected to implement, it is a way of being and a way of doing! (Participants must attend day two on October 17 to receive certification).

    Character Education Certification: Day two introduces participants to new, advanced practices as we look through the lens of equity focus on Social-Emotional Learning, Trauma Informed Education and Restorative Practices. Participants receive CharacterPlus certification indicating foundational readiness to progress along the Character Education continuum. (Day one and two completion is required for certification).

    Service Learning: This interactive workshop explores the power of Service Learning to increase student academic performance, personal character and community development.

    Application Writing Support: CharacterPlus member schools account for 24% of all National Schools of Character. This workshop will provide best practices in application writing as well as the latest updates to the process and timeline.

    Bullying and Cyberbullying: In this session, educators will learn practical strategies to help students who are being bullied or are bystanders. Participants will learn how courageous conversations can support teens to help themselves responsibly navigate the digital world.

    Class Meetings and Peace Building Circles: Class meeting are structured to foster a sense of autonomy, belonging, competence and student leadership. By forming a circle where positive norms are set by the group, a trusting and safe environment is created for students. Class meeting and Peace Circles can be used for team building, norm setting, academics, decision making and problem solving.

    State and National Schools of Character Site Visit Day: This experiential day of learning will immerse educators in best practices of a State or National School of Character. Interact with students and staff and come away with multiple ideas for immediate implementation in your school or classroom.

    Restorative Practices Primer: Restorative Practices build strong children by fostering healthy relationships and providing a way back when those relationships are damaged. These practices are cultivated in a culture of equity and ethical development, and tis primer workshop will help educators understand why so many schools are choosing to adapt Restorative Practices are part of their framework.
