Missouri Equity Lab
Educational equity means students have access to excellent teachers and receive the same high-quality education regardless of socio-economic status, race or geographic location. The Equity Lab is an opportunity for a local school community to think about the data that indicate there is inequity in learning opportunities for students. It is also an opportunity to identify causes of that inequity and develop strategies for addressing it.
Who’s Invited?
Teams of educators and stakeholders from local communities are invited to be a part of the Equity Lab to explore data, identify causes and develop strategies for ensuring all students have access to excellent teachers.
What’s the Purpose?
The Missouri Equity Lab will serve as a vehicle for crucial conversations among stakeholders to build the framework for the development of a District Equity Plan that would address educational inequities identified in their community.
How Will it Work?
The district-planning team will create concrete, actionable steps for stakeholder commitments that promote educational equity and support the implementation of the Missouri Equity Plan to ensure equitable access to excellent educators.
