Tonya Ward Singer is a literacy and language consultant who helps K-12 educators transform teaching for equity and EL achievement. Teachers and administrators describe her work as groundbreaking, dynamic, practical, relevant and impactful. Tonya's best-selling book, EL Excellence Every Day: The Flip-To Guide for Differentiating Academic Literacy, is a popular resource to help teachers ensure English learners and all students succeed with literacy.
Carol Salva is a Seidlitz Education consultant and co-author of Boosting Achievement, Reaching Students with Interrupted or Minimal Education. She was a bilingual elementary school teacher, and most recently taught Middle and High School ELs. Carol specializes in using research-based sheltered strategies to teach grade level content to students with limited or interrupted formal education (SLiFE). She is adept in sharing these strategies for successfully including SLiFE students in content area classes.
