Early childhood educators will stay ahead of the curve with a combination of networking, new learning and real-world observation. Leaders at two early childhood centers that earned National School of Character designation in 2016 will provide inspiration, how-to's and practical, do-now strategies.

Champions for Character Award Applications
Cardinals Care, in cooperation with CharacterPlus, sponsors Champions for Character- a program to honor schools in the St. Louis Metro area where service learning is infused into both the curriculum and the school culture.
Nominations for the 2017 Champions for Character are now being accepted. Three schools will be selected- one elementary, one middle and one high school.
The three winning schools will receive:
- Tickets to a selected spring Cardinals game for a group of students and staff
- Pre-game awards ceremony involving six student ambassadors
- Schools are featured on the diamond vision big screen during the game!
Applications MUST be postmarked by Friday, March 10.

Promising Practices Application As CharacterPlus leads the nation in National Schools of Character, and in Best Practices- NOW is the time to keep the Show-Me State showing off our great stuff!
We're sure that each of our member schools has at least one, if not 10 amazing things happening everyday and because of that, we encourage you to submit a Promising Practices application at character.org.
Share your unique and effective character education strategies and programs with others!

Connecting Academics & Service to Others
Join us Friday, January 27 as we explore the power of Service Learning to increase student academic knowledge, personal character and making your community a better place. Learning is more meaningful to students as they develop leadership, citizenship and 21st century skills through Service Learning. You'll leave with broad knowledge and the start of an action plan you can implement in your school.
This workshop is made possible by a grant from Cardinals Care and is absolutely FREE!

National Schools of Character Site Visit Day
CharacterPlus invites you and your colleagues to engage in a FREE day of Professional Development immersed in one of the most impactful days of experiential learning ever! Bring a team with you as you visit 2 different National Schools of Character. Within these walls you will see some of the Best Practices in action. You will have a chance to interact with students and staff and ask them first hand questions about their journeys to become a National School of Character. You will come away from this experience with multiple ideas for immediate implementation into your school or classroom.
